There is much discussion and debate about why holidays cost so much in the school holidays. It is a big source of frustration for many parents, especially for families who can’t afford the peak prices and then have to consider whether to break the rules and take their children out of school in term time.
At Acorn, we understand this and have created family activity holidays that are affordable in the summer holidays. Our 3 night UK breaks start from as little as £188pp during the months of July and August.
A holiday in the Brecon Beacons during the summer holidays costs just £248 per child and £288 per adult for a 4 night mid week activity break in August 2019. This includes full board accommodation, a full activity programme, evening entertainment and soft drinks with meals.
For those wishing to travel overseas and enjoy activities abroad, our holidays here are also very affordable and many include transport. Our coach holidays to the Ardeche in the South of France (for example) costs just £559 per child and £636 per adult which includes coach travel, ferry crossing, meals, drinks, full activity programme and evening entertainment. We even provide a carafe of wine with meals!
Single parent families are particularly happy when travelling with us during the school holidays because all but one of our holiday destinations are exactly the same price as they are for larger families -we don’t add small party supplements on. A single parent family can travel to the South of France on an exclusive single parent family holiday for as little as £1,195 (for one adult and 1 child).
This just goes to show that if you look hard enough, there are some really affordable holidays in the school holidays.
