Privacy Policy
This privacy policy sets out how Acorn Family Holidays (the company) uses and protects any information that it acquires from you.
The General Data Protection Regulations requires the Company to ensure that your privacy is protected. Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified, then you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.

What we collect
In order to carry out the necessary arrangements required to organise the trips we run, the Company has a legitimate interest in certain specific data on people who take part in these trips. These data include names, dates of birth, gender, dietary and medical information.
What we do with the information we gather
We then share aspects of this information with our suppliers, such as hotels, coach companies, and airlines. Whilst most of these suppliers are within the European Economic Area (EEA), some are in countries outside. Where a country is not in the EU’s list of countries that have an ‘adequate level of protection’, then we will send the minimum amount of data necessary to operate our trips safely. We will also inform you when we are going to do this.
We may use personal data (of adults only) for marketing purposes, typically sales emails. However, all persons on whom we hold data have the right to opt-out of such material
Security
As well as ensuring the security of all the data we hold, we require all of our suppliers to assure us that they also handle the data we provide them appropriately and request that they dispose of it securely when it is no longer required.
We hold the data we obtain for your trip for seven years. After this period all paper-based material is destroyed, and electronic data are securely deleted.
We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.
